Sometimes, young adult and adult ratties are available for adoption.  There are several reasons why they might appear on this page.  We occasionally take in rescues, offer our retired breeders, young adults we kept behind for breeding but didn't use, or ratties we previously adopted out are returned due to a change in circumstances. 

If you open your heart and take in a rescue, you can be sure that we kept them here with us for a 3 week quarantine.  During that time, we monitored their health and personailty.  We only adopt out friendly and healthy rats to families.  If any rats require medical assistance, we have taken them to our vet.

Occasionaly, we have adopted out our retired breeders.  We don't usually do this because we become attached to them!  However, on the occasions that we have done this, it was to wonderful families that we have worked with in the past, they live close and agreed to continue to keep in touch with us.  In this case, we need to keep track of health and longevity.

In addition, you may find young adults here.  They were selected from the litter and kept behind so that we could watch them develop with the intention of utilizing them in our breeding program.  You can be sure that they are healthy, beautiful and friendly, non-the-less and will make wonderful new additions to your family! 

 Finally, we have a clause in our adopters contract that states that you must agree to return your rats to us, if you can no longer care for them.  We reserve the right to take them in, quarantine them, monitor for health and personality, and find them new and appropriate homes.  We honor this portion of our contract and will post them here for adoption when the time is right!     

 These two boys must go together in a pet only home.  They are three months young and have AWESOME personalities.  They ride on shoulders well and are very licky.  They groom everyone they come in contact with!  If you are interested please fill out the adoption questionnaire today.  If you are already a pre-approved adopter please email me.
